Motherwalk

We here at the library are gearing up for the 8th annual Motherwalk on Saturday, May 7th. This community-wide walk and 5K in support of The Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation will take place in Crestline Village. Go here to register for Motherwalk. Whether you walk as a part of team or as an individual, you are helping make strides in the fight against ovarian cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, ovarian cancer ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, and is the deadliest cancer of the female reproductive system. The Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation is helping to break that cycle by supporting ovarian cancer research, raising awareness, and educating the public about ovarian cancer.

At the library, we strive to support our community's health by providing access to health information that concerns you and your family. In step with Motherwalk, we have created a display on ovarian cancer as well as other women's health issues. Here is a sampling of the titles we have on display for you:

We hope to see you at Motherwalk!
